Eastbourne Lions Club is looking for entrants for this year’s Swimathon 2016.
Taking place at the Sovereign Centre on Saturday 19 November, the event has been going for several years and is open to swimmers of all abilities.
Teams of up to 10 swimmers are being asked to swim for 20 minutes to raise money for charity.
To enter a team, contact the Lions Club Charity either by email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01323 656062 and you will receive entry and sponsorship forms along with more information about the event. Money is raised through sponsorship for each length each swimmer completes. 70% of the money raised will go to your nominated charity or cause and 30% is retained by the Eastbourne Lions Club Charitable Trust to cover any expenditure and the remainder for local community projects.
Nikki Loftus said "I have agreed to enter a team raising money for the Peter Andre Fund for Cancer Research UK. My husband Brian was diagnosed with a tumour on one of his kidneys three years ago but thankfully he survived. I would be over the moon if people would get in touch with me (Nikki) Telephone 07952 090176 and join my team raising money for the Peter Andre Fund".
