Eastbourne tennis star Johanna Konta has claimed her first Olympics win.
The British Number One is through to the second round of the singles in Rio after beating Stephanie Vogt from Liechtenstein 6-3, 6-1 yesterday (7 August).
Konta now faces Caroline Garcia of France in the second round this afternoon.
Meanwhile, partnering Heather Watson, Jo is also through to the second round of the women’s doubles after seeing off Serbia’s Jelena Jankovic and Alexandra Krunic 6-2, 6-1. They’ll play their second round clash against Chinese Taipei’s Chan Yung-jan and Chan Hao-ching tonight.
