Add that to the fact it’ll prevent visitors to Airbourne, Eastbourne’s flagstone event, bringing in millions of pounds, and the five day walkout by RMT Union members could make this a summer to remember for all the wrong reasons.
Conductors with Southern are taking action over the introduction of driver-only trains, which is due to come into force later this month. The dispute, which has seen insults hurled, has gone on for months, with passengers suffering delays, cancellations and strike action.
