Eastbourne tennis star, Johanna Konta, is through to the quarter final of the ladies’ singles at the Olympics.
The British Number One struggled to hold her serve in the opening set against Russia’s Svetlana Kuznetsova in the third round, but when on to fight back and take the second set.
Konta fought hard in the third and finally broke the Russian’s serve, only for Kuznetsova to break back. It was down to the wire, but Konta eventually booked her place in the last eight at Rio 3-6, 7-5, 7-5.
Jo was also selected today to partner Jamie Murray in the mixed doubles.
