Eastbourne’s flagship event starts today (12 August).
Airbourne takes to the skies for the next four days, with flying display from the likes of the Red Arrows, Eurofighter Typhoon and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
This year however, there’s a new look to security, with anti-terrorism blockades in place along the seafront. These are to prevent an attack like the one in Nice, although police do say there is no increased risk of an attack on the event compared to last year.
The concrete blocks were put in place last night and Eastbourne Buzz watched some installed by the Carpet Gardens:
