The nation’s favourite variety show That’ll Be The Day will be rockin’ and rollin’ its way back to Eastbourne’s Congress Theatre tonight (14 August) as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, featuring all the biggest smash hits of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

That’ll Be The Day is said to be the longest-running ‘one-night’ touring show in the UK, having delighted audiences since 1986. Now in its 30th year of touring it performs over 200 shows a year to capacity audiences across the UK.

This fun and entertaining show will take you on a nostalgic journey through the heyday of pop music: from the skiffle bands and Juke Box Jury of the 50s and 60s, through to the Beatles and swinging London via the Summer of Love and the spangle-studded Glam-rock era of the 70s.

Trevor Payne (who first created the show) still directs, produces and stars in the rock ‘n’ roll variety production today. Trevor rewrites all the material for the show for each year, and over six months is taken in planning and preparation. Trevor and his gang are back once again to take Eastbourne on another toe-tapping and hilarious journey down memory lane, with their superb renditions of much-loved hits throughout the decades and their trademark madcap comedy.
