Get ready to stomp your feet and clap your hands for the Mayor of Eastbourne’s annual barn dance in aid of her chosen charities of the year.
Tickets are now on sale for the popular event at the Winter Garden on Saturday, September 24.
All funds raised will go to Refuge, which helps women and children affected by domestic violence, and The Eastbourne Open Award Centre for the Duke of Edinburgh Award, a programme of personal development for young people.
Music will be provided by The Spinning Jenny Band and a tex mex buffet will be on offer (with vegetarian options available).
The Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Pat Hearn, said, “Whether you’ve been to a barn dance before or if it’s your first time along, this is a great opportunity to kick up your heels and have some fun.
“As well as dancing there will be delicious food and toe-tapping music to enjoy, with all money going to two very worthy causes.”
Tickets must be booked in advance and cost £20 for an adult and £10 for children under 14. Groups of 10 get a discounted rate of £175.
Dress code is Country and Western.
To book tickets phone the Mayor’s Office on 01323 415020 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Doors open 6.30pm for 7pm.
