A man’s been assaulted outside a small supermarket in Eastbourne.
At about 11pm on Monday (22 August), a 25-year-old man reported being on his bike outside Sainsbury’s in Seaside when he was waved down by younger man on the opposite side of the road.
They began talking, and shortly afterwards a third man approached and began punching the man with the bike. The victim, who sustained a head injury, eventually managed to get away and rode off towards the town centre, where he reported what had happened.
Police would like to speak to the younger man in particular in connection with the assault.
A 33-year-old man from Eastbourne, arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, has been bailed until 14 September pending further enquiries.
