Biker Fights For Life After Marsh Road Crash

A biker’s in a critical condition in hospital after a crash on the Marsh Road at Hooe last night (1 September).

His Triumph Thunderbird was in a collision with a blue Toyota Aygo at the junction of the A259 and the B2095 by the Lamb Inn. The 51-year-old from St Leonards was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

His pillion passenger, a 44-year-old woman, also from St Leonards, was taken to the same hospital with fractured ribs and two broken fingers.

The driver of the car, a 64-year-old woman from Pevensey Bay, was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings with her 78-year-old male passenger with minor injuries.

Fire crews from Eastbourne and Bexhill were also called to the scene to help cut one person free and the road was shut for several hours.
