The coxswain of Eastbourne Lifeboat stepped back in time this week, when a 1969 former lifeboat moored at Sovereign Harbour.

The Charles Henry, which served as a working vessel for the RNLI until 1986, was based at Selsey, West Sussex for part of her commission.

Mark Sawyer from Eastbourne Lifeboat enjoyed a tour of the historic boat and reminisced over how life in the RNLI has changed since he started his career with the lifesaving charity.

The Charles Henry, is the last Oakley-class vessel to still be seaworthy and is now on her way back home to Norfolk.
