Patron of charity, Families For Autism, and Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell was on hand to give her support at a skatepark-inspired event to raise awareness of the organisation.

Going for Gold took place at the weekend at My Skateworld in Maple Road and the day comprised of skating and sporting activities for young people.

Caroline said, “This local charity does truly outstanding work in supporting, encouraging and understanding children and young people on the autistic spectrum, as well as their families and it was a pleasure to witness the fun and games at the event, which was a great success,” said Caroline.

“Many thanks to everyone who came and supported it and to Autism For families for their continued work.”
