Eastbourne firefighters were called to three false alarms overnight.
Last night (15 September) at 10.26pm, they were sent to Seaside Road, where there was no sign of a fire and were unable to get into the building. They were then called again at 2.23am this morning (16 September) to Upperton Road where there had been a system fault and the final call came at 4.07am, where they were sent back to Seaside Road. Again there was no sign of a fire and they couldn’t get into the building.
It’s prompted a fresh call from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to homeowners and businesses to ensure their alarms are in good working order.
