An Eastbourne shop’s celebrating being immortalised in an upcoming issue of 2000 AD.
Scorch Comics in the Enterprise Centre has been drawn into the comic, on the lawless streets of Mega City One.
The shop has also been chosen by the publisher to host one of only nine worldwide signing events this Saturday (1 October).
The free event, which starts at 1pm, will see world renowned comic artists on hand, providing free sketches and signings. They’ve drawn for 2000 AD, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Tank Girl, Iron Man and many more. One of those coming, is Mike McMahon, the first to draw Judge Dredd, whilst another, Kev Hopgood, created the characters War Machine and Hulk-Buster (seen in the most recent Avengers movies).
In the evening, there will also be a screening of a documentary about 2000 AD at the Curzon Cinema, followed by a Q&A session with the artists.
