Eastbourne is to host a special show raising money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
The Royal Hippodrome will stage the variety show on Friday (7 October), with homegrown talent, Steve Hewlett headlining. Steve shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent with his ventriloquism act.
Speaking ahead of the show, Steve said, “This Friday I return to one of my favourite Theatres in the UK. “I met my wife Nina at the Royal Hippodrome in Eastbourne and performed my first professional summer season theatre show there in 2000. I've since performed my first ever solo theatre show there, as well as two more summer seasons, as well as shows for The British Music Hall Society and many charity shows. This Christmas, I'm proudly back with The Osmonds Extravaganza.
“This occasion on Friday, is a very special evening for St Wilfrid's Hospice & I get to perform with some of TV's top talent. Zyrah Rose, to me, should have taken the Britain’s Got Talent top prize on this year’s season. They were outstanding, as well as Jasmine Elcock & Faryl Smith. They are fantastic & we have brilliant local talents in Ocklynge SchoolChoir, Bourne Chorus & Shining Stars Dance Academy & more surprises. I'm performing some new material, so it's going to be a brilliant night out and for a wonderful cause.”
