The Eastbourne IT First Eagles head to Birmingham tonight (19 October) for the first leg of the Knock Out Cup Final.
They qualified to meet the Second City club by comprehensively beating Cradley Heathens on Sunday.
It is the first of four crucial matches between the Eagles and the Brummies between now and the end of the month.
The teams meet in the final of the KO Cup and Play Off grand final, to decide the league champions.
Eastbourne team manager Connor Dugard said, “The plan is to go to win straight from the first race and take one race at a time. We know it will not easy but are all geared up to win these matches.
“It’s a big fortnight for the club and we have been working towards this all season. We are ready.”
Georgie Wood is unavailable for family reasons and his place is taken by Connor Coles.
Team: Adam Ellis, rider replacement for Gary Cottham, Ellis perks, Connor Coles, Jake Knight, Luke Harris, Tom Brennan.
The second leg of the final is at Arlington on Sunday, October 30 (6.30pm start).
Sandwiched between these matches are the first leg of the play off final at Eastbourne on Sunday, October 23 (6.30 start) with the second leg at Birmingham on Wednesday, October 26.
The two Eastbourne matches both start at 6.30pm. There is a big stock car meeting on October 29 and the club needs as much time as possible to get the stadium ready for racing.
To give consistency between the two meetings, a decision was made to start this Sunday at 6.30 as well.
