Two members from Eastbourne Rowing Club completed this year’s Boston Rowing Marathon, raising £1800 through sponsorship of which, £900 was donated to Eastbourne lifeboats.
Colin Guppy and Bob Noakes took part in the event back in September, rowing from Lincoln to Boston, a distance of 50.2 kilometres. They completed the gruelling course in 4 hours 32 minutes finishing 47th out of 128 crews.
Following Sunday’s (16 October) training exercise Colin and Bob presented a cheque to Lifeboat Operations Manager Carl Pocock and some of the crew.
