Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell is kicking off her first residents' Parliamentary tour next month in response to demand to see what goes on at Westminster.
An agreement has been reached with local coach operator, Beeline Travel, to take people up to London.
Those taking part will have a light lunch with Caroline in Westminster Hall that is included in the £20 price of the excursion before a Q&A session with their MP.
There will then be a tour of both Houses of Parliament, and time to visit other nearby sites, before the return journey back to Eastbourne.
“Many local people have an interest to see where our laws are made and to get a flavour of what it’s like to be an MP, so I hope these tours will do that,” said Caroline.
“It’s really important that residents get a chance to visit Westminster and to question their MP, so I’m looking forward to getting as many people on these tours over the coming years."
Caroline’s first tour of Westminster is booked for 6 June and from September they will take place every month.
The price is per person, covering the cost of hiring the coach, and no profit is made by Caroline.
To make enquiries about booking a tour, residents should contact Caroline's Eastbourne office on 409000, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
