A dog, which had been missing for two days, has been found alive at Beachy Head.
Bonnie, the spaniel was reported as missing on Sunday (23 October), during a walk near the Bomber Command Memorial and a social media campaign was launched to find her.
Today, Birling Gap Coastguards, along with Eastbourne Coastguards, Newhaven Coastguards and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Rope Team, were called after Bonnie was spotted partway down the cliff face. Her owner's cousin and aunt heard her cries.
She was rescued and taken back to the top off the cliffs, where she was checked by the RSPCA, who said she was in good health and Bonnie is now happily back with her delighted owners.
