Willingdon and Jevington will remember those who’ve fought in conflicts around the world this week.
On Friday (11 November) a service will be held outside the Parish Office in Gorringe Valley Road, Willingdon at 11am, which will be led by Father Kevin Agnew.
On Remembrance Sunday (13 November) there will be a parade from Upper Kings Drive (assembling at 10am) to march to St Mary’s Church, Willingdon, led by the Kingfisher Band. The Willingdon branch of the Royal British Legion will lead the parade, accompanied by the Parish Council and organisations including 1st Willington Scouts, Cups and Beavers.
At 3pm, there will be a service at the Ruthless memorial at Butts Brow, with Caroline Ansell MP and the Mayor of Eastbourne attending. It will be led by the Parish Council and Willingdon branch of the Royal British Legion.
