A sparrowhawk’s been rescued, after flying inside a building in Eastbourne this morning (18 November).

The bird of prey was hitting the beams and glass windows inside City Electrical Factors in Hawthorn Road, prompting them to call East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service to help.

After it was caught, the bird was taken back to the Casualty Centre for observation, but it’s hoped he will soon be back out in the wild where he belongs.
