Eastbourne Sea Cadets have recently take delivery of two new RS Quest sailing dinghies and with the continued help of Premier Marinas and Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club, are looking to build on a successful summer sailing in the North Harbour in 2017.
To help achieve this, Eastbourne Sea Cadets are now looking for donations so that the boats can be placed on a floating pontoon in the harbour when they are not being used.
PO Cottington (Boats Officer) stated, “The Quests are ideal sailing dinghies for cadets and by placing them on the pontoons they can be rigged more easily and will help keep maintenance to a minimum. To build a pontoon big enough to accommodate the boats the cost to the unit is around £10,000. We are therefore, looking for any businesses or individuals who would like to make a donation to the unit to help cover the cost.”
Anybody willing to make a donation or if you require further information please contact Eastbourne Sea Cadets on 01323 722265.
