An Eastbourne family, which has been waiting for three years, for a home suitable for their disabled son, may be a step closer.
Yesterday (28 November), Eastbourne Buzz reported how Caroline Greenhill and her husband struggle to bathe their 7-year-old son, Oliver, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Owing to their showroom and toilet being so small, they cannot use a hoist to lift Oliver and instead, must do it themselves.
Oliver can also feel isolated, where the wheelchair he relies on to get around, cannot fit in to the family’s sitting room.
Now, the leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, David Tutt has told Eastbourne Buzz, that he is personally taking up the family’s case and will be meeting with them tomorrow.
