An Eastbourne girl’s has won East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service’s Christmas card competition.
Jessica from Eastbourne Brownies is one of four who’s been named as the overall winners, with all of them aged between 7 and 10. Each will receive a book token and will see their designs transformed into actual Christmas cards.
Chief Fire Officer Gary Walsh said, “It’s always a pleasure to choose the winners of this competition. I was particularly impressed by the safety messages this year. We asked children to decide what Santa would say to help keep people safe. We hope their families will heed their advice and take special care while cooking, driving and putting up decorations this Christmas.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all of those who took part. We will be sharing all the entries on our Facebook and Twitter accounts throughout December so everyone can see them.”
