It was a busy Christmas Day for the Mayor of Eastbourne.
Councillor Pat Hearn, accompanied by her Consort, started the day with a visit to Eastbourne DGH, where she visited the staff in A&E. As the doctors and nurses were all busy, Councillor Hearn left their gift and moved on, so as not to disturb their vital work.
The Mayor then visited Home Alone, which is set up by the Rotary to provide company and a meal for those who’d otherwise face Christmas alone. Councillor Hearn spent over an hour meeting with the volunteers and those enjoying the meal at Our Lady of Ransom Councillor Hearn said, "It could not work without all the volunteers, Moira House and Bedes for Mini Bus transport and the Church.”
Eastbourne Fire Station was the next stop, before moving on to thank officers at Eastbourne Police in Hammonds Drive.
