It's a waiting game for Eastbourne Borough goalkeeper, Charlie Horlock, who hurt his ankle in the Boxing Day derby with Whitehawk.
Horlock lasted just 20 minutes on Monday (26 December), when he damaged his ankle, leading to a trip to Eastbourne DGH. The visit proved to be inconclusive however, as the joint was still too swollen to examine properly.
Charlie will return to hospital today (29 December) for another check, in the hope the swelling will have gone down enough.
Commenting on the injury, manager Tommy Widdrington said, “I've been watching the video of the game and it isn't at all clear how he did it - quite a freak injury. Charlie is a valuable member of our squad, and I know that supporters have really taken to him.”
