A swan has been rushed to specialist vets after apparently being deliberately run over in Eastbourne.
Rescuers from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service rushed to Rotunda Road on Tuesday (27 December) along with members of the RSPCA, but they couldn’t find her. They returned yesterday after she was spotted near a loch gate in the river.
After she was caught, it was found she had a badly broken leg and multiple abrasions. After being checked at the WRAS casualty centre, she was rushed to the Swan Sanctuary in Shepperton.
