A beautiful new Yamaha Clavinova piano has been donated to a Langney primary school that was devastated by fire in October 2015.

After hearing about the extensive damage suffered to Shinewater Primary School, the owners of Bonners Music wanted to help bring smiles back to the faces of staff, parents and pupils and arranged for a brand new Yamaha digital piano to be delivered in time for the school’s Christmas Carol Concert last week.

The £2000 piano will be used in the main school hall for the education and enjoyment of all pupils.

Tony White, owner of Bonners Music said, “As soon as we heard about the awful damage caused by the fire last year, we contacted the school directly to see if there was any way that we could assist. After consultation with the teaching staff, it was agreed that we would delay delivering the new piano until building works at the school had been completed - and we were very pleased that this was done just in time for us to present the new piano to the school at the annual Christmas Carol Concert. It was a lovely time of year to bring some good news to a wonderful school, where the staff have worked effortlessly to maintain normality throughout a very difficult time.”
