Eastbourne beaches must now be marked with signs telling bathers how clean the water is.
New rules came into force over the weekend for all beaches across the UK - it's part of a revision to the European Bathing Water Directive. All beaches must now have signs highlighting their water quality and at beaches with consistently poor water quality, warnings will be posted advising against swimming.
However, Eastbourne has nothing to worry about, with the water ranked here as 'excellent'.
Beaches at Pevensey Bay and Norman's Bay have also been rated as 'excellent'.
