A disabled woman was unable to get from Hampden Park to Eastbourne on the train, as there were no staff members around to help her.
Travelling to Eastbourne with a friend, she was left on the platform, as they were unable to get the wheelchair on to the train without the use of a ramp.
Another woman, this time at Pevensey, would have been left in the same position at the weekend, had a train driver not broken with protocol to help her late at night.
Both Southern trains were running under the new driver-only operations.
