Cabinet Agree Proposals For East Sussex Budget

A rise in council tax and cuts of millions of pounds have been discussed by the Cabinet of East Sussex County Council today (24 January).

It’s been recommended the full council approve a 4.99% hike in council tax – to include a 3% levy to fund adult social care – and meet savings targets of £17million in the next year, when they meet next month.

They’re pledging more money for pavements and roads and to continue with the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
