Eastbourne Police say they are continuing to investigate the spate of tyre slashings in Old Town and Motcombe.
Officers say the last reported incident was in Salehurst Road overnight on 20 January. Uniformed and plain clothed officers and PCSOs are carrying out patrols in the area during the day and night. Infra-red CCTV cameras have also been installed and stop-and-search powers are being put in place to check for knives being carried.
Police are continuing to work with other agencies to try and catch whoever is responsible for the vandalism and anyone who sees any suspicious activity, particularly if car wheels are being tampered with, is asked to call 999 and quote Operation Bargate.
Anyone who finds their tyres slashed, should report it as soon as possible by calling 101, again quoting Operation Bargate.
