A woman, flown to hospital by the air ambulance after crash in Eastbourne this morning (27 January), remains in a serious condition.
The 69-year-old pedestrian was in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Zafira in Victoria Drive at 10.08am, leaving her with a significant head injury.
The driver of the car – a 46-year-old woman – wasn’t hurt.
Sergeant Dan Pitcher from the roads policing unit said, "We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened to get in touch. Anyone with information can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 101 quoting Operation Tristar."
Victoria Drive remained closed while police and ambulance dealt with the incident but re-opened just after 1.15pm.
