Eastbourne Borough have done the double over Hemel Hempstead Town.
When the two sides met earlier in the season, The Sports secured maximum points with a 3-0 win at Priory Lane.
Yesterday (28 January), in the National League South, Borough looked on course for history to repeat itself with goals from Mark Hughes, Ryan Case and Nat Pinney within five minutes of each other in the first half. The Tudors had their chance to respond, with a series of corners, all of which were dealt with swiftly by Borough. At the end of the first half it was Hemel Hempstead Town 0 – 3 Eastbourne Borough.
Borough had more chances after the break, many of which were denied by their hosts, but Craig Stone found the back of the next in the dying seconds to see the score finish Hemel Hempstead 0 – 4 Eastbourne Borough. The win sees Borough jump two places in the standings to 11th.
