Work is due to start on the Polegate Bypass tonight (30 January).
Highways England are shutting the eastbound carriageway of the A27 between the Polegate Bypass and Pevensey junction overnight between 8pm and 6am, through until 12 February.
Work on the westbound carriageway will take place overnight from 13 February – 19 February.
Both carriageways will be resurfaced and there will be diversions in place along the A22, A2290 and A259.
Polegate MP Maria Caulfield has said, “These are necessary works that will considerably improve the A27 roads and sustain them for the long term. I will carry on updating the progress of this project to keep my constituents informed.”
