A woman, involved in a crash in Eastbourne Old Town on Friday (27 January), has sadly passed away.
The 69-year-old pedestrian was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Zafira just after 10am in Victoria Drive. She was flown to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by air ambulance with a significant head injury, but sadly died on Saturday.
The driver of the car – a 46-year-old woman – wasn’t hurt, but was left shocked.
Sergeant Richard Hornsey from the serious collision investigation unit said, "We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened to get in touch. Anyone with information can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 101 quoting Operation Tristar."
