We’re being asked to find out more about fostering in Eastbourne this evening (2 February).
An event’s being held at St Mary’s House in St Leonards Road at 6pm, where anyone who is interested in taking in a foster child, can find out more.
An East Sussex County Council spokesman said, “This event is a chance for people to find out how they can make a real difference to the lives of children in East Sussex.
“Fostering can be challenging but our foster carers find it a very rewarding and fulfilling experience which brings a real sense of achievement
“At the event, people can learn more about the role played by foster carers or providers of supported lodgings for young people aged 16 and over to help them become successful and independent adults.
“They will find out what is involved in being a foster carer or supporting lodgings provider, as well as the support that is offered to them throughout the process, and will also get the chance to put any questions they might have to members of our fostering team.
