More than 100 people have attended a special residents’ conference in Eastbourne.
Hosted by Eastbourne Homes, Eastbourne Borough Council and Neighbourhood First at the View Hotel, it was a chance for Eastbourne Homes’ residents to find out the latest news and developments which may affect them.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the Housing & Planning Act, how to be a good neighbour and advice was given on how to avoid scams. The joint transformation project between Eastbourne Borough Council, Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Homes was also covered.
Residents and staff were joined by local councillors, including Mayor, Cllr Pat Hearn, Leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, Cllr David Tutt and Cllr Alan Shuttleworth, Cabinet Member for Housing.
Cllr Shuttleworth said, “The conference was an excellent opportunity to meet residents and have a two-way conversation about the issues which really matter to them. The day went really well and we received positive feedback from the people who joined us.”
A raffle draw saw lucky winners scoop prizes including tablet computers, a £100 gift voucher and a Victoria Plumb tree.
