After the success of last summer’s event, Ratton School in Eastbourne has set a date for this year.
On 8 July 2017, the school grounds will once again become a melting pot of performing arts, community interaction and fundraising.
With the Congress Theatre closing for refurbishment, we are afforded an opportunity to develop last year’s student led vision and incorporate a formal festival stage into the event as well as an acoustic stage and a performance area. In addition, there will be workshops, community stalls and information points for local organisations working with young people as well as food stalls and a beer tent.
As with last year’s fayre, the feel and look of the event will be in the hands of Ratton students, who will also help manage the event together with members of the Ratton staff and Rotary AM.
In addition, it is our hope that local dance, drumming and performance groups from the community and other schools in the town have the opportunity to highlight their work.
We will be offering pitches to local charities and view this as a great opportunity for local organisations to interact with the community.
In order to help fund the event, pitches will also be available for hire to registered traders and we are actively seeking sponsors.
