Michael Rosen’s classic and award-winning book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt has been adapted to the stage and comes to Eastbourne’s Devonshire Park Theatre direct from a smash hit West End run from 3 – 5 April.

We’re Going on a Bear Hunt has captivated youngsters since it was first published in 1989 and now it has been lovingly adapted to include music in this celebration of the book.

This show is the perfect theatrical outing for any young family, packed with music, laughter, songs, rhythms, rhymes and repetitions are guaranteed together with puppetry, paints, water and mud…not to mention a bear -we’re not scared!

Sally Cookson’s hugely inventive production set to Benji Bower’s quirky musical score is a mischievous celebration of play, utilising everyday objects and materials, to capture the imagination and catapult young audiences into the world of Michael Rosen and  illustrator Helen Oxenbury‘S much loved picture book.

Join our intrepid family of adventurers and their musical dog through the swishy swashy grass, the splashy-splashy river and the squelchy mud, in search of a bear. Expect plenty of fun-filled interaction and a few surprises along the way.
