Bede’s Nursery in Eastbourne, celebrated its first birthday with cake and balloons for its young learners on Monday (6 February).
Alongside Bede’s Prep Headmaster Mr Giles Entwisle and Head of Early Years Mrs Di Writer, the youngsters welcomed the CEO of St Bede’s Trust and Senior School Headmaster Mr Goodyer and his wife Laura, and Governor Mrs Kate Nash to help the morning go with aplomb.
The ISI-rated ‘Outstanding’ unit, which specialises in caring for children in the age range of 3 to 18 months, opened its doors for the first time in February 2016, doubling the capacity for early year’s children at Bede’s.
Mrs Nash, helped by Owen from the Nursery and Year 2 student Iman, performed the official opening.
Giles Entwisle, Headmaster of Bede’s Prep School said, “The Nursery is welcoming increasing numbers of families, who are deciding to raise their children here – something which I’m sure the local community and economy will celebrate and no doubt benefit from over the coming years.”
