Missed chances and a sending off all contributed to Eastbourne Borough losing on the road in the National League South yesterday (11 February).
Facing Concord Rangers, Borough had several on target shots denied and found themselves 2-0 down within the first half an hour. However, a throw in from Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain, found Elliott Romain, who put it away to bring the score Concord Rangers 2 – 1 Eastbourne Borough at the break.
A string of yellow cards was collected by Borough in the second half, with several more shots failing to find the back of the net. The hosts pulled further ahead in the 79th and Oxlade-Chamberlain was sent off minutes later, after picking up a second yellow, seeing The Sports reduced to ten men for the final seven minutes of the game.
The final score, Concord Rangers 3 – 1 Eastbourne Borough.
