Eastbourne Town picked up three points on the road in the SCFL Premier Division yesterday (18 February).
Heading to Newhaven, Town were out for revenge, having been thrashed by their hosts earlier this season.
James Stone opened the scoring, putting Eastbourne ahead, 13 minutes in. David Smart extended that lead in the 28th, before Newhaven pulled on back in the 41st.

Evan Archibald quickly put Eastbourne further ahead after the break, scoring in the 46th. Their hosts narrowed the gap again in the 50th, after giving away a penalty.
An array of yellow cards was issued and the game ran into stoppage time, where both sides put away one more – substitution Sam Willett being the scorer for Eastbourne.
