A man who fell from scaffolding in Eastbourne this morning, has sadly died.
Emergency services were called to Grand Parade just after 8am, with the air ambulance landing on the beach near to the pier.
South East Coast Ambulance say they had five response vehicles on the scene, as well as the air ambulance, with a doctor on board. SECAmb believe the man may have fallen from a height of 40 feet.
Despite their best efforts, emergency services were unable to save the man, who was in his sixties and he died at the scene
Sussex Police say the man did not live at the address and was not working on the site.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.
