It's been a long and bumpy 11 months for non-urgent patient transport drivers in Eastbourne.

The service came under a lot of criticism when Coperforma took over the contract in April 2016, before Docklands seemingly went bust in September, leaving many drivers without pay for several weeks.

Now, after having no work for a number of months, the drivers are going back to work, as they start a month-long training scheme, ready for South Central Ambulance Service to take over the contract from Coperforma on 1 April.
