A pensioner from Eastbourne is seriously ill in hospital after being hit by a car in Seaford last night (27 February).
The 81-year-old was on the A259 Buckle Bypass just before 6.30pm, when she was in a collision with a white Citroen DS3 near the junction with Beacon Road.
She was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man from Seaford, wasn’t hurt in the crash. The A259 was closed for three hours whilst emergency services were on the scene.
