Wealden Police has donated £500 to Cuckmere Community Buses.
The service is run by a fleet of volunteers and provides necessary transport to the elderly, vulnerable and isolated residents in the Cuckmere Valley area.
Cuckmere Community Buses is a registered charity which was set up in 1976. Their mission is to provide a safe, reliable and courteous local bus, serving those rural and urban communities not served by the commercial bus companies.
PCSO Janine Daly said, "We are delighted to support this key service which is key in helping to reduce social exclusion among some of the more vulnerable members of our community. All of the volunteers do a fantastic job and their work does not go unnoticed."
The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
