A baby dove has been rescued in Eastbourne.
The tiny bird was still in its egg when it was brought inside by a cat, which belonged a vet’s daughter, so she knew to call East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service yesterday (11 March).
On its arrival at the wildlife hospital, the egg was found to be badly damaged and the baby struggling. Volunteer rescuer, Chris helped the youngster from its egg ad it was put on heat pad and had a nest made for it.
The chick is now being cared for by Kathy at the charity, who will have her hands full looking after the creature.
