Polegate’s MP has taken to Twitter to communicate with the outside world after becoming locked down in Parliament after this afternoon’s (22 March) terror attack at Westminster.
Scotland Yard say they will treat the incident as such until they know otherwise.
A police officer has been stabbed and a man shot outside the Houses of Parliament. Meanwhile on Westminster Bridge, a car has reportedly ploughed into a group of people, causing significant injury.
Reports of a second death are now coming in.
Maria Caulfield has tweeted her support to all of those who have been caught up in the incident adding her ‘huge respect’ for colleague Tobias Ellwood for his ‘heroic efforts’.
