An Eastbourne schoolgirl is excelling in gymnastics.
Year 5 pupil Layla Keech from Bede’s Prep School, recently took part in a pre-grades gymnastics competition in Kent.
Layla had a great competition, skipping a grade for her age, to compete in Grade 4 and finishing with the highest score of her club for the second year in a row - it was only her second pre-grades comp! The score she gained is equivalent to passing her grades with distinction - the highest mark.
When Layla isn’t training at her club she assists with gymnastics club at Bede’s in the evening and has helped the girls prepare and train for their core proficiency awards.
