Why not do something different with the kids over the Easter holidays and take them bear hunting?! Lovers of the TV adaptation aired over Christmas, avid fans of the original Michael Rosen book and the uninitiated alike are invited to join in the laugher, music and silliness as the classic and award-winning We’re Going on a Bear Hunt takes to Eastbourne’s Devonshire Park Theatre stage this Easter holidays 3-5 April, direct from a smash hit West End run.

Packed with music, laughter, songs, rhythms, rhymes and repetitions, this hugely inventive production with quirky musical score is a mischievous celebration of play.

Clever use of everyday objects and materials, will capture the imagination and catapult young audiences into the world of Michael Rosen and illustrator Helen Oxenbury‘s much loved picture book. Young families are guaranteed to delight in the puppetry, paints, water and mud…not to mention a bear -we’re not scared!

Join our intrepid family of adventurers and their musical dog through the swishy swashy grass, the splishy splashy river and the squelchy mud, in search of a bear. Expect plenty of fun-filled interaction and a few surprises along the way.  

Children’s novelist, poet and previous Children’s Laurate Michael Rosen has written 140 books although many would argue that We’re Going on a Bear Hunt is his most famous, in 2014 it broke the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest ever reading lesson.
